- The completed result of the project that includes the digital content or goods.
- Creator/author
- The original person or company that created the digital content or goods.
2. General rights of use
By acquiring a digital product on Get-Assets.com, the buyer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide and perpetual licence to use the digital content or goods for personal, promotional and commercial purposes within their own projects.
This includes downloading, using, copying, adapting, modifying and integrating the content into their own projects to the extent necessary to implement the respective project.
3. Restrictions
3.1 Sharing and resale
Sharing, sublicensing, selling or otherwise transferring the digital content or goods to third parties is prohibited unless necessary to implement the project. Under no circumstances may the content be distributed as standalone products or as extractable components of such products.
3.2 Disclosure of source code
Disclosing or providing the digital content or goods to third parties in source-code or open-project format is prohibited unless indispensable for implementing the project.
3.3 Use by third parties
Third parties may use the content only within the buyer's project. The buyer must ensure that third parties use the content exclusively for that project and do not retain it for their own purposes after completion.
3.4 Prohibition of AI training
Using the digital content or goods to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models is prohibited without express written consent.
3.5 Use in client projects
The buyer may use the digital content or goods in projects delivered to clients, provided that:
- the content is an integral part of the project and is not distributed as standalone products;
- the buyer informs the client in writing of the licence terms and usage restrictions;
- the client does not use, extract or redistribute the content outside the delivered project.
4. Downloads and access
Purchased digital content or goods are downloaded through the personal My Account area on Get-Assets.com. Access is personal and must not be shared with unauthorised third parties.
5. Use in Unreal Engine
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, most asset-pack products are designed for use in Unreal Engine. 3D models are generally supplied in FBX format and can be imported into existing engine projects.
6. Attribution for free products
When using free digital products, appropriate attribution of the creator or author in the end product is required if specified on the product page.
Attribution must include the name of the creator or author and their website, placed in a clearly visible location, such as the closing credits. The required details are provided on the respective product page.
7. Music and soundtracks
7.1 Rights of use
By acquiring music, soundtracks and sound effects (music assets), the buyer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide and perpetual licence to use those music assets in their own projects, including social media content and video games.
Adaptations such as cutting, crossfading or changing the tempo are permitted, provided copyright is respected and the music assets are not offered as new standalone products.
7.2 Restrictions
7.2.1 Redistribution
Reselling, distributing or uploading music assets to platforms that share, sell or transfer content is prohibited.
7.2.2 Standalone use
Music assets may not be offered or distributed as standalone products outside the context of the buyer's project.
8. Use in mods and user-generated content
The buyer may use the digital content or goods in modifications (mods) for existing games and make them available through services such as Steam Workshop, provided that:
- the content is included only as part of the mod and is not made available as standalone products or files;
- the content cannot be readily extracted or used independently of the mod;
- all applicable licence terms of the original game and the platform used are observed;
- appropriate attribution is provided unless the product page states otherwise.
9. Final provisions
9.1 Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the state in which they habitually reside.
9.2 Jurisdiction
If the buyer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is the business location of Get-Assets.com. The same applies if the buyer has no general place of jurisdiction in Germany or their residence or habitual residence is unknown when proceedings are brought.
9.3 Severability
If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. Statutory provisions apply in place of the invalid or unenforceable provision.
9.4 Changes to these terms
Get-Assets.com reserves the right to change these terms with effect for the future where necessary for valid reasons and reasonable for the buyer. Such reasons may include changes in law or case law, technical developments or new organisational requirements.
The buyer will be informed of changes in text form in good time. If the buyer does not object to the amended terms within six weeks of receiving notice of the changes, the changes are deemed accepted. The notice will specifically draw attention to the right to object and the consequences of remaining silent.
